EDL's new and improved Double Tight Wrap DTW 25 shrink packaging machine uses two vertical LDPE film tapes to tightly combine multiple packages of packaged products and completely wrap them. The system uses servo control to manage the sealing of up to 25 packets per minute, which is 12% faster than previous models of similar size and requires a 30% reduction in floor space. In addition, compared with the traditional fully enclosed shrink packaging system, the film used by the DTW 25 system can be reduced by up to 40%.

The DTW 25 double-layer compact packaging system is designed to safely bundle large bags of granular products such as gables, bagged and bagged products, and lawn care products with pallet loads. The system uses clamps to precisely align the bag before packaging, and seals the completed tight package with Teflon-coated thermostatic jaws to form a completely sealed bag.

The system can also bundle other products, including bags of granular pet food and cat litter, beans, construction products, medical supplies, surgical kits, and food service consumables, such as nested fiber trays and cup holders.

After application, the two opposing packages fuse together during the heat shrinking process, integrating them into a stable unit, eliminating the movement of the packaged product. This makes the packaging easier to integrate into the pallet load and easier to unload and move by retail customers. Since the packaging film is not fused to the primary packaging in this process, retailers can easily open the package and put the bagged products on the shelf quickly.

EDL provides DTW 25 with a variety of layout options to meet the unique production line needs of specific customers. For example, the system can be laid out in "U" or "Z" format or other configurations. Like all EDL machines, DTW 25 is designed to increase production flexibility and allow future production line upgrades. The system adopts an easy-to-clean design, can be cleaned frequently and meets regulatory requirements.
